Professional Background

Doug earned his J.D. from Southern Methodist University School of Law in 1998, where he was inducted into the Order of Barristers and received the A.J. Thomas Award. Over the course of his legal career, Doug has held partner roles at prominent Texas law firms and was a founding partner of Franklin Skierski Lovall Hayward LLP before co-founding Roquemore Skierski PLLC. He is credentialed by the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association and has actively served as a mediator and arbitrator for over 17 years.

 

In addition to his legal work, Doug is a Licensed Professional Counselor trained in EMDR therapy, with a focus on trauma and the mental health challenges faced by professionals under stress. He holds advanced degrees in psychology and professional counseling, reflecting a unique, multidisciplinary approach to conflict resolution.
