About Alex L. Davis

Alex Davis is an experienced attorney with a practice focused on construction, real estate, and general corporate matters, including contract drafting and review and dispute resolution in state and federal courts. He has managed matters from early assessment through litigation, including district and appellate work, and he brings in-house experience advising on employment issues, outside-counsel management, lending practices, and government contracting, including presenting oral argument in the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals on his first appeal. His work is informed by his earlier experience at Brown & Root, a Halliburton company, where he served as a project engineer and cost estimator supporting large-scale construction projects in the U.S. and overseas.

Professional Background

Alex Davis III earned his J.D. from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2005 and holds a B.S. in Construction Management from Purdue University. Before entering legal practice, he worked in construction delivery roles as a project engineer, project manager, and cost estimator, supporting large-scale public and institutional projects in Texas, Florida, and overseas, including projects supporting U.S. military operations in the Balkans.

 

Alex focuses his legal practice on construction, real estate, and general corporate matters, including contract drafting and review and litigation in state and federal courts, with experience in both district and appellate proceedings. He served as Managing Attorney at A-Davis Firm, P.C., provided of-counsel support handling contract and litigation services, and later served as in-house counsel advising on employment matters, outside-counsel management, litigation, lending practices, and government contracting.
